R2i created Uconnect’s branding in 2016 and in 2019 Uconnect returned for an update. I was lead designer and worked alongside the Associate Creative Director to refresh Uconnect’s visual identity. This included new colors, typography, image-treatments, and iconography. These updates were then featured in email and web layout designs, presentation deck slides, various marketing materials, leading up to the fully refreshed Uconnect Brand Book.

I started by collecting and reviewing all brand assets and assessing where there was room to modernize. I found that colors could be brighter and more saturated while typography could be updated to a modern and web-friendly typeface. Icons also needed adjustments to be more consistent and easily recognizable.

There were also opportunities to for small adjustments, like bringing in rounded corners, to build a more cohesive brand identity. Email layouts and the website were also dated and needed an update. Although only the chosen direction is shown here, client was provided with several - ranging from a light update to more dramatic options.
